Braving the Elements
Spending time outside is important for children to develop physical skills, learn and develop through experience and exploration, develop their language, communication and social skills and enhance their problem-solving and self regulations.
Unless the weather is extreme, children should enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis.

Practical Suggestions
Spending time outside is important for children to develop physical skills, learn and develop through experience and exploration, develop their language, communication and social skills and enhance their problem-solving and self regulations.
By creating a thoughtful and well-designed outdoor area, you can provide a stimulating and enjoyable environment while also keeping children safe from the element.
Make sure the outdoor area is free from weather-related hazards, and that children are appropriately dressed. Always have a backup plan in case the weather becomes too severe.
Communication with Parents
Keep parents informed about the measures in place to ensure children are dressed appropriately and they understand the benefits of their children’s outdoor time.
